Understanding Medicare in California

The Mama's and the Papa's weren't lying when they titled their famous song about the Golden state, "California Dreamin'"! California is by far the most populous state in the nation, with the second and sixth most densely populated cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As you drive up the beautifully scenic Highway 101, you can see its varied geography. California's diverse geography ranges from the Pacific Coast in the west, to the Sierra Nevada mountains in the east – from the Redwood–Douglas- fir forests of the northwest, to the Mojave Desert areas in the southeast. With the mountains and the beach close by, it's no wonder so many American citizens call California home.

It doesn't matter which county

It doesn't matter which county you reside in, whether it be Alameda, Alpine, Calusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Orange, Madera, Monterey, Napa, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sierra, Sonoma or Ventura County. Here at Medicare Supplements Made Easy, we help ALL California residents with understanding the complex and difficult Medicare program swiftly and easily! Did I mention our help is also FREE OF CHARGE? That's right! If you are getting ready to turn 65 OR are already a member of the Medicare program and looking to save money on your premiums or find more comprehensive coverage, you've come to the right place.

With so many plans and companies to choose from in the lovely state of California, it's no wonder Medicare confuses most folks. In actuality, the Medicare program can be simplified and can become very easy to understand. Medicare is made up of four separate parts, parts A-D. After receiving your red, white, and blue Medicare card from Social Security, you can choose which parts to maintain after obtaining original Parts A and B, which cover hospital and medical costs respectively. Part C of Medicare is most often referred to as Medicare Advantage and comprises doctor, hospital and prescription drug costs into one program. In a Medicare Advantage plan, your Part B Premium for Medicare instead goes to the private insurer of your choice that offers the MA plan. Medicare Advantage offers low monthly premiums, but quite a bit out of pocket costs. We offer every company available, some examples are Secure Horizons through United Health Care and Humana.

Aside from Medicare Advantage

Your only other option is through a Medigap or Medicare Supplement policy. Medicare Supplement policies are the best and most comprehensive choice for covering the extra 20% Medicare leaves behind for you to cover. Your Part B premium goes back into the Medicare program and you have an additional monthly premium depending on the letter plan and company you choose. Plan F is the most comprehensive Medigap plan because under your low monthly premium, ALL copayments and deductibles are covered for doctor and hospital nationwide! The only thing Medigap plans do not cover are prescriptions. Part D of Medicare is designed to supplement your Medigap to cover your drug plan. Companies we offer for Medigap or Medicare Supplement Policies are United of Omaha, Assured Life, Gerber, Sentinel Security, Genworth, and more!
