With one of the largest senior citizen population in the United States, Palm Beach County, FL is a popular place to settle down and retire. With its gorgeous beaches and warm sunny weather, it’s no wonder! Due to the large population of senior citizens in the area, Medicare is a booming topic and one that needs to be discussed in detail before one makes a decision regarding secondary insurance. Between the mail, phone calls, and sometimes even door knocks all centered around Palm Beach County Medigap Supplement Plans, understanding the Medicare program can become a huge feat. In this article, I will discuss the four parts of Medicare and how the gaps can be supplemented by Palm Beach County Medigap Supplement Plans.

The four parts to Medicare are labeled A-D. Part A is Medicare’s form of hospital, or outpatient, coverage. An example of a Part A cost would be the hospital room expense for a hospital stay. Before Medicare will bear 80% of any Part A cost, you must fulfill a deductible of $1132 every 60 days that you enter the hospital. Part B is Medicare’s form of doctor, or inpatient, coverage. An example of a Part B cost would be the cost of the actual surgery in the hospital. Prior to Medicare stepping in and paying 80% of any Part B expenses, still leaving you with the remaining 20%, you must fulfill an annual deductible of $162. As you can see, there are three main gaps that original Medicare leaves for you to cover on your own if you do not research and purchase the proper Palm Beach County Medigap Supplement Plans.

Palm Beach County Medigap Supplement Plans range from letters A-N. Do not confuse the 4 parts of Medicare with the 10 plans for Medicare Supplementary Insurance. These plans are designed to supplement some, if not all, of the gaps original Medicare leaves exposed to you. When using Palm Beach County Medigap Supplement Plans, you can go anywhere in the US that accepts Medicare and you do not need referrals. You have free reign over your health care.
